What a great purchase, the Porto. I ordered the beautiful colors Tan and Chesterfield green, and a notebook with them as well. The leather is of such good quality! I am so happy with it! All praise also to Jenni's service and her always friendly answers to my questions! And always a quick response, very customer-friendly! Compliments and thanks for this!
So this is not my first Porto - which immediately tells you something. I have hankered for a darker coloured Porto ever since getting my first, and the new drop in cognac fits the bill. There are a couple of nice little "upgrades" from my first, and I'll cover those in a minute.
Overall the Porto offers a compact (but not too compact) solution to carrying a surprising number of bits and pieces. I write books (so carry notebook and pen) and take photos (so carry a camera) and these, along with a bewildering array of other bits and pieces all fit comfortaly into the Porto. I can even fit a Chromebook when the need arises.
The darker cognac colour is an improvement upon the original, in my view. It is more classy, more discreet and more masculine. I can use it with a suit without it looking odd. It will be ideal in the winter months, too.
The improvements I mentioned are worth noting. In terms of value, the price now includes the shoulder and wrist straps - a nice touch - and the shoulder strap itself is slightly wider, which is welcome when carrying weight.
Future improvements? Please either offer a shoulder pad (I'm currently using a Billingham one) or give some grippy texture to the underside of the shoulder strap. Also, give some thought to a dedicated pocket for a tracker tag, ideally one that is discreet and sealed by velcro. Those additions would take the Porto from "excellent" to "indispenaible"!

This bag is perfect! I love it so much. The leather is soft and supple but holds its form. The pockets are perfect. I love not having to dig around for a pen. I am a math teacher and an avid journaler. I write a lot! This bag is perfect to carry my wallet, pocket journal, and A5 journal. These are the items that I like to have with me at all times. The porto is also the perfect size to throw into my large tote when I am going to school or to a sporting event for my kids. I absolutely love the Porto! I can't wait to see how the leather softens and patinas. I know this is a bag that I will use for years to come!
This is, hands down, my favorite bag I have ever purchased. The leather is a beautiful color. The pockets are the perfect size. The strap is thick and adjustable. It is just everything you could ever want. I am very pleased with my purchase.
I absolutely love my Porto. The workmanship and quality 10 out of 10. It's big enough to fit in a couple of TN sizes or an A5 and extra journaling equipment. The leather is exquisite. The Porto is a dream! This is the most amazing bag, perfect for both my Hobonichi Cousin Avec, A5 Plotter, small photo printer, thin folder, and assortment of my favorite pens and mildliners. Exquisitely made and I know it will last me decades.
This bag is not only functional but so Beautiful. It holds my Paper Republic Pocket, my Travelers Journal Passport,My Regular size Travelers Notebook and my pens, whichever ones I want to use. I love it so much.
I got the Porto in cognac to carry with me my basics for planning and journaling and now I find myself using it as a handbag because it has all I need.
The quality is superb as always when you buy a Lorton and Horn product. The leather is beautiful and I can't wait to see how it developes a patina.

Beautiful bag. Shipping to the netherlands was arround 2/3 weeks and had to pay 18 euro for customs. I am rally happy with the bag ca. not wait to use it!
The Porto is wonderful, very handsom and good quality, but the color was not as dark as I thought.
I wasn’t a 100% convinced I would love this as much as I do. And when they come back in stock again, I will definitely be buying another one. It’s got just the right amount of pockets. I do think inside it should have one full length pocket on one side and the two pockets that it’s got on the other side. But that’s the only way, for me, it could be improved. Or maybe it could be a bit deeper as well so that you could just fit another pen case or notebook inside. But that’s just me trying to make it perfect for what I want to use it for, which is why I need another one.
There’s nothing negative, whatsoever, that I can say which is why I’ve decided to just comment on how it could be more perfect for me. It’s a really lovely bag/case. I did buy both straps because I wasn’t sure which I would use. However, the only one I’ve used, so far, is the wristlet strap. But, I am glad I got the two, options and all that!
